Diako joined HSBC in January 2019, to lead the sustainable finance function in the Middle East, where Diako works closely with all of the Bank’s business units to develop HSBC’s sustainable finance capabilities and product suite. Prior to joining HSBC, Diako was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young (2016-18), leading the Dubai office’s Sustainability and Climate Change team, where Diako worked with various sectors including power and utilities, oil and gas, financial services and the government sector on their sustainability strategies and agendas.

As Business Development Manager at Yellow Door Energy, Sophia combines her commercial expertise and engineering education to create the best solar solutions for her customers. She works closely with commercial and industrial businesses in the UAE to bring them solar leases, a hassle-free way to adopt solar, reduce energy costs and lower carbon emissions. Sophia has a decade of experience in international markets such as France, Morocco, and the GCC and holds a Master of Mechanical Engineering Systems from Université Technologique de Compiegne, France.

Ryan Ingram

Founder, Terraloop

Ryan is an environmentalist fuelled by compassion, curiosity, and dissatisfaction with the status quo. After 10 years of working in the Environmental Conservation and Hospitality sectors of the UAE, he founded TerraLoop Food Waste Consulting in response to the enormous volume of food waste being generated in the country. TerraLoop helps companies in the Food Service Sector reduce their food waste, save on food cost and haulage fees, while mitigating carbon emissions.
