As the regional expert on biofuels and their adoption in the Middle East, Karl and his company have won many regional and international awards in recognition of their pioneering work.

Prior to joining HSBC, Diako was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young (2016-18), leading the Dubai office’s Sustainability and Climate Change team, where Diako worked with various sectors including power and utilities, oil and gas, financial services and the government sector on their sustainability strategies and agendas.

Ryan is an environmentalist fuelled by compassion, curiosity, and dissatisfaction with the status quo. After 10 years of working in the Environmental Conservation and Hospitality sectors of the UAE, he founded TerraLoop Food Waste Consulting in response to the enormous volume of food waste being generated in the country. TerraLoop helps companies in the Food Service Sector reduce their food waste, save on food cost and haulage fees, while mitigating carbon emissions.
